We appreciate the opportunity to share with you our passion for Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis. For those who have already joined us in this important endeavor, we thank you. Without you, our founding year’s dream of delivering a minimum of $100,000 to a nonprofit in the Greater Indianapolis community would remain just that – a dream. If you haven’t yet joined us, we hope you’ll take the time to explore our site and to learn more about us. We’ve taken great care to anticipate any questions you might have about our organization. Women’s giving circles like ours have a history of proven success. Impact 100s in Cincinnati, Pensacola and Austin have, in three short years, given over one million dollars in high impact grants to nonprofits in their respective communities. We’re inspired by their success and have modeled Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis after these innovative organizations. Some aspects of our shared model include:
Admittedly, our goals are bold. Quite simply, we intend to improve the quality of life in our diverse community by effecting sustainable social change. Join us on our journey as a founding member and co-creator of Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis. Gratefully,
You can join us either as a Member or as a Friend. You can either print the Membership Form and mail it to the address included on the form, or you can complete the e-mail version and send it to Impact with your credit card information. A Note about Conflict of Interest
Members who are serving on the board or a committee of IMPACT 100 Greater Indianapolis will be formally required to disclose potential conflicts of interest. However, IMPACT 100 Greater Indianapolis expects all members to act in an objective and fair manner. Focus area committee members will be required to sign our Conflict of Interest Policy. In particular, members are expected to refrain from any attempt to gain an unfair advantage for any particular grant applicant by, among other things, disclosing confidential information and/or attempting to persuade other members of IMPACT 100 Greater Indianapolis to vote for such grant applicant. For a copy of our policy, click on the link above. Please contact us with questions or for additional membership information at membership@impact100indy.org.
One of the primary goals of Impact 100 is to ensure that 100% of each Member’s $1,000 donation passes through directly to the annual Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis grant(s). In order to achieve this goal, we graciously accept donations from individuals and local businesses to underwrite the organization’s overhead expenses, either monetarily or in kind. We honor those who provide this type of underwritten support with the title of “Friend.” Just as with the Members’ donations, 100% of all Friends contributions are also tax-deductible. In appreciation of our Friends’ contributions, we list all Friends who contribute $250 or more, either monetarily or in-kind, on our website, at our formal information sessions, at the annual meeting, as well as verbally at many of our meetings and recruitment events. 2006 Friends Ann Galvin 2007 Friends Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf Architects Individuals and Businesses can make Friends contribution by doing the following:
If you have questions or need additional information please contact us at friends@impact100indy.org.
Gifts of stock are a great method of charitable giving. Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis accepts donations of stock in a publicly-traded company as payment for membership. Remember, 100% of your member donation will be returned to the community in the form of a grant(s) to a local nonprofit. And all stock gifts are tax deductible as allowed by law. Electronic transfer is the easiest method of gifting stock when a donor maintains holdings in a brokered account. Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis’ host, Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) will assist you in this process. Please carefully review the following instructions for transferring gifts of stock. 1. Print and complete (1) copy of the Membership Form (e-mail version) | (print version).
