Nicky Blaine’s Cocktail Lounge Impact 100 Holiday Cocktail Recipes

During Our Virtual Holiday Party we are toasting people who are very special to us:

We’ll be raising our glasses filled with one of these cocktails developed for Impact 100. We’ve provided te recipes below.

1. Impact 100 Proof

The classic Hot Toddy known for curing colds and being the best way to warm yourself from the inside out. Dates back to the mid 18th century. Watch it being made here: https://youtu.be/5UUtS4huD_o

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar mix (or mix 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon with 1 tablespoon sugar to make your own)
  • 1.5 oz or 2 oz. of whiskey (bourbon, rye, Irish, or Scotch – use your favorite even if it’s not 100 proof)
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • sliced lemon peel
  • 1/2 cup hot water, freshly boiled
  • cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Warm your favorite cocktail glass or mug by filling it with hot water and letting it sit for a few minutes. Pour out this water.
  2. Wet the rim by dipping it in water or simple syrup.
  3. Put the cinnamon sugar mix in a saucer and rub the rim of your glass/mug in it.
  4. Carefully add the Whiskey without touching the rim.
  5. Add the brown sugar, if using, and stir to dissolve..
  6. Add lemon juice and the lemon peel.
  7. Pour hot water into the glass.
  8. Stir and serve with a cinnamon stick.

2. Spiced Apple Tart

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar mix (or mix 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon with 1 tablespoon sugar to make your own)
  • 1.5 oz. spiced rum
  • 1/2 to 1 cup warm apple cider
  • Cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Warm your favorite cocktail glass or mug by filling it with hot water and letting it sit for a few minutes. Pour out this water.
  2. Wet the rim by dipping it in water or simple syrup.
  3. Put the cinnamon sugar mix in a saucer and rub the rim of your glass/mug in it.
  4. Carefully pour the spiced rum into the glass.
  5. Add the apple cider.
  6. Stir and serve with a cinnamon stick.

3. Ornamental Bliss

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar mix (or mix 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon with 1 tablespoon sugar to make your own)
  • 1 oz. Rumchata or your favorite creamy cinnamon rum
  • 1 oz. Fireball or your favorite cinnamon whiskey
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Chill your favorite martini glass.
  2. Wet the rim by dipping it in water or simple syrup.
  3. Put the cinnamon sugar mix in a saucer and rub the rim of your glass/mug in it.
  4. Put the rum, whiskey, and half-and-half into an ice-filled martini shaker.
  5. Shake and strain into the martini glass.
  6. Finish with the cinnamon stick.
